Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear to an initial session?
Structural Integration is traditionally done with men in underwear and women in a bra or sports bra with underwear or athletic shorts. This allows access to areas that may need to be worked during the session. If you prefer to wear a camisole or tank top, that’s fine.
For Craniosacral Therapy (CST), wear comfortable clothing that allows a full range of motion. For massage, clients are fully draped and may disrobe to their level of comfort.
How does Structural Integration differ from massage or chiropractic?
Massage generally focuses on reducing muscular tension, improving circulation, and promoting relaxation, and chiropractic care typically uses high-velocity adjustments to mobilize the spine and joints.
Structural Integration works primarily with the fascia and nervous system to support lasting changes in posture and movement. Clients may be guided through slow, simple movements while I work with the tissue, helping the body release tension and settle into more balanced patterns of posture and movement.
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Your cranium (skull) and sacrum (the triangular bone at the base of the spine) form the ends of the system surrounding your central nervous system.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on approach that works with the craniosacral system—the membranes, fascia, and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord—to release restrictions and support nervous system regulation.
Though subtle, it can be helpful for concerns such as headaches, TMJ, whiplash, and broader patterns of chronic pain and stress.
I have a specific issue. How many sessions should I get?
I suggest starting with one session and seeing how you respond to the work. If it feels helpful, you may choose to continue for a few more sessions.
When working with more prominent chronic or acute issues, I often recommend weekly or bi-weekly sessions for a period of time. Once things improve, many people shift to occasional or as-needed visits. Some also choose to come in monthly for ongoing support.
Why do some people get regular bodywork?
People who receive regular bodywork often come in every three to six weeks. I personally try to receive work at least once a month. Regular sessions can help address tension as it arises while also supporting rest and nervous system regulation. Many people find that consistent bodywork supports greater ease and resilience in daily life.
Do you work with children?
Yes! I work with children at a reduced rate, treating issues from scoliosis and sports injuries to sensory processing issues, anxiety, and ADHD. Some kids do better with 30 minute sessions, and there are chairs for parents to stay in the room during sessions.

Can I use my HSA / FSA?
Yes! You can use an HSA card to pay for sessions, or I can provide receipts for you to get reimbursed,
Presently, bodywork is not covered by insurance.
What do I need to know about parking for my visit?
There is a parking lot on either side of our office. Park in the south lot to easily access the front of the building.
